When I first met my wife, she loved wearing colorful head scarfs.
I found her very attractive how the scarfs complimented her femininity. I was motivated to paint her portrait and capture her beauty and that intriguing 'Mona Lisa' smile.
Dennis works predominately in oils specializing in portraits and still life works of art. His painting style has been compared as ‘painterly and impressionistic.’ Although equally adept at landscapes he prefers various subject matter pending on his creative mood.
In 2003, he was selected among 100 international portrait artist and featured in How Did You Paint That? 100 Ways to Paint People - International Artist Publishing. In 2005, he was one of 23 selected artist for the Forest Lawn Museum ‘Revolutions On Exhibit. Exhibiting original works of art created for the music industry. In 2006, one of Dennis paintings‘Angels On Our Wings,’ a depiction of World War II fighter pilots received an honorary award and now hangs in the U.S. Pentagon in Washington D.C. In 2007, his work was on display at the Forest Lawn Museum ‘Visions - The World of Fantasy Art’ Exhibition Glendale, California features innovative artwork created by some of the most visionary artists in today’s art genre.
