Tribute painting of my baby brother Maurice E. Lewis. He passed away on April 22nd 2013. He was a talented upcoming actor in the field of film making. He was a loving husband and father, survived two twin sons Michael and Maurice.

Taste Of Class

Touch Of Brass

Still life with brass lamp. My goal was to try and create a classic composition with a cool background. This is the first of four that I actually created using the large vase. For some reason this vase has a way of popping up as a prop in several series of these paintings.

Riverpark Art Studio Drawing Classes. Riverpark Art Studio is now offering art classes to anyone who is intrested in learning the foundations of painting and drawing. The classes are available twice a month, two days a week to anyone who is interested in drawing the human form. Cost $10 dollars for three hour session. Remember Mother's Day

Sometime back, I set up a still life at home. Picking a few roses from my backyard along with a few household items I completed the painting. Afterwards, I decided to put it away not quite happy with the final results.

A year later l was encouraged to enter the painting in one of the local shows here in the area. Well, to my amazement I received a second place win. Hmmmm.... I guess sometimes it's important to put your work out there and allow others to decide even when we doubt ourselves.

Reign of Fire

A-10 tank-killing “Warthog.” The A-10 carried the company tradition of having been given an unofficial name being nicknamed “Groundhog” or “Hawg.” This aircraft could operate in the thick of combat actions. Designed in such a way as to keep the aircraft aloft even after sustaining combat damage that would do in most any other airplane.

My concept was to convey a sense of drama as the missiles take flight reigning fire from the sky upon the enemy. As you view the plane in the foreground, we see the under belly glow just before its missile launch.
